Fire Risk Audit Preparation
A Fire Risk Audit is a statutory fire safety inspection of most premises other than private dwellings. In Northern Ireland, these are carried out by the NI Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) and can happen at any time.
The sort of things an NIFRS inspector will want to see include your Fire Risk Assessment; fire safety policy, fire action procedures, fire precautions log book; records of staff training and fire drills; records of testing and maintenance of firefighting equipment (e.g. fire extinguishers); and records of testing and maintenance of all fire safety systems (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinkler system, smoke ventilation system).
